Course Details

How long is the California co-parenting class?

California co-parenting classes can range from 4 to 12 hours. The length of the course required depends on the county, your case, and the program your case requires. Our 4-hour class can be completed online. It meets California requirements and is accepted in most California counties. You don't have to complete it all at once – you can work at your own pace and your progress is automatically saved.

Can I pause and resume?

Yes! Your progress is automatically saved as you go. You can log out at any time and return later to continue where you left off. This allows you to complete the course at your own pace and convenience.

What topics are covered in an online co-parenting course?

Our course covers essential co-parenting topics including:

Is there a final test for this course?

No, our co-parenting class does not include a final exam. The course uses interactive activities and knowledge checks throughout each module to ensure understanding. You'll receive your certificate upon completing all course modules.

Certificate & Completion

When do I get my certificate?

Your certificate is available for download within 24 hours after you complete all course modules and submit payment. You'll receive an email notification when it's ready, and you can download it directly from your account.

How do I submit my co-parenting class certificate to the court?

You are responsible for submitting your certificate to the court. Most courts accept certificates filed with other case documents or presented at hearings. Check with your court clerk or attorney for specific submission procedures. We recommend keeping multiple copies of your certificate for your records.

What info is on the co-parenting class certificate?

Your certificate includes:

  • Your full name (as provided during registration)
  • Date of course completion
  • Course duration (4 hours)
  • Unique certificate number for verification
  • Course provider information (Together for Kids)
Can I get a duplicate certificate?

Yes. You can re-download your co-parenting class certificate from your account for up to 15 days after completion. After that, contact support@togetherforkids.com for assistance. We may charge a small administrative fee for duplicate certificates requested after the 15-day period.

How long does a parenting class certificate last?

Your certificate doesn't expire and remains valid indefinitely. However, some courts may require recent completion (within 6-12 months) for certain proceedings. Check with your court about any time limitations for certificate submission.

You have access to course materials for 15 days after successful completion and certificate issuance. This gives you time to review the content and download any resources. Your certificate remains available for download during this period.

Payment & Enrollment

How much are parenting classes in California?

It depends on which course you take. Court-approved courses for co-parenting education in California range from 4 to 12 hours depending on the county and the case. Pricing also depends on whether you take them in person or online. In general, these courses are priced between $40 and $200. Our four-hour California co-parenting course is just $39.99 but you don't have to pay until you've completed the entire course.

When do I pay?

Payment is only required after you successfully complete all course modules. You can enroll and work through the entire course at no charge. Once you finish and are ready to receive your certificate, you'll be prompted to make payment.

What payment methods accepted?

We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure payment processor, Stripe, including:

All payments are processed securely and we do not store your payment information.

Is there a refund policy?

We do not offer refunds since payment is only required after you've successfully completed the entire course and are ready to receive your certificate. This ensures you only pay if you're satisfied with the course and need the completion certificate.

Legal & Court Questions

Can you provide legal advice?

No, we cannot provide legal advice. Our course offers educational information about co-parenting, but we are not lawyers and cannot advise you about your specific legal situation. For legal questions about your case, custody arrangements, or court requirements, please consult with a qualified family law attorney.

What if my court rejects the certificate?

While our course is designed to meet California standards, we cannot guarantee acceptance by every court. That's why we strongly recommend verifying with your specific court BEFORE enrolling. If your court doesn't accept our certificate, we cannot provide refunds as the educational service was already delivered.

Do you report to the court directly?

No, we do not report completion or send certificates directly to any court. You are responsible for downloading your certificate and submitting it to the court according to their procedures. We maintain completion records for verification purposes if requested by authorized parties.

Is this course court-mandated?

Courts don't mandate specific courses or providers. Instead, they require parents to complete co-parenting education that meets certain standards. Our course is designed to fulfill these requirements, but you should always confirm with your court that online courses and our specific program are acceptable for your case.
